The Firm that bears his name, Mark Gandy, was established in 2001.  Mr. Gandy possesses nearly 15 years of business experience in accounting and corporate finance.  He obtained his CPA credential while working for KPMG Peat Marwick in St. Louis.  Afterwards, he spent nearly 10 years in the Orscheln organization, a family-owned company with investments in manufacturing, retail, real estate, and entertainment.  His positions there included Internal Audit Manager, Financial Analyst/A.V.P. Finance, and Controller.  Mr. Gandy has also held CFO positions for Inovatia Laboratories (a life sciences research firm) and Tribune Publishing Company.

Mr. Gandy’s skill set is unique in that he not only understands GAAP accounting but has a strong proclivity for finance and information technology.  He has always been able to develop strong lending relationships for his employers and client base.  His strong technology background has led to top-line growth through better data analysis techniques and lower costs by creating business process efficiencies.

Mr. Gandy is also majority owner for a firm providing bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and tax services for small to mid-sized companies.  The company, Benchmark Business Services, is also an outsource solution for routine accounting activities in larger firms and can also host software applications.  Such services allow the business owner to focus on being entrepreneurs and growing their business and not expanding their back office overhead.
